We BelieveGrace Through Faith We are a Christian congregation in the Lutheran tradition. This means that we firmly believe that a person is made right with God by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. God loves each one of us and wants us to be close to him. We invite God into our lives through prayer, worship, and reading Scripture. We show our response to God's love for us by praising God, following God's commandments, loving our neighbor, and working for justice. Liturgical but Modern Our worship is liturgical (following the pattern of worship
that most Christian churches have used for hundreds of years) but modern
(we use both traditional hymns and modern songs of praise). We celebrate
Holy Communion at all our worship services. The Good News of Jesus Christ The Bible brings us the Good News of Jesus Christ - that
our sins are forgiven and our relationship with God is restored though
Christ's death and resurrection. The Bible also teaches us how to live
a life that is pleasing to God, rewarding for ourselves, and a blessing
to others. The Sacraments are signs of God's grace and love for us.
Through Holy Baptism, our sin is forgiven, and we are adopted into God's
family. In Holy Communion, Christ comes to us "in, with, and under"
the bread and wine to bring forgiveness of sins and strength for serving. |
